Full-Time Training - Testimonies

An aspect of the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) which I have benefited from the most has been the times spent with the Lord in His Word every morning. I received the Lord when I was young and my parents were good patterns to me in their Christian walk with the Lord, but I had not yet developed the habit of seeking the Lord in such an intimate, personal way as I have here in the FTTA. Before, whenever I found myself in a pressing situation I would try to resolve it by myself or go to my parents to seek help from them. Here in the FTTA I have had many opportunities to learn to go to the Lord to “tell Him all” (Hymns #788) and to seek from Him directly what to do. Even in going to seek fellowship with the trainers concerning any situation, they have always stressed the need for me to spend time with the Lord. These personal times, spent with the Lord alone, have been the most precious and beneficial. I have drawn closer to Him and He to me; He is no longer just the God who is in the heavens, the Creator, but, more now, my true Friend, my Counselor, my Guide. I treasure these times. I feel like now I have found the key to my Christian life--a life of fellowship with the Lord. I'll never graduate from this! As I come to the Lord in His Word there is always something new from Him, something fresh. His written word becomes His instant word, spoken at the right time to me. I just love Him more and more each day!
